Gi is a Portuguese artist and architect practicing in London and Lisbon. The paintings explore a language between the two disciplines, through a mixed technique of oil, chalk, charcoal, crayon and pastel on square birchwood panels. These form very large paint sketches that capture the immediacy and flux of the medium. They are a visual diary in the form of emotional landscapes that materialise through architectural representation - in plan, elevation and section.
